After using my own domain for my email for SO long, going back to something like “username@hey.com” would feel like a huge step backwards. (especially given that you are almost certainly not going to get the username you want.)

Stick with one email. That you own.

I couldn’t agree more with this, moving away from my reliance on Apple & Gmail have given me much more flexibility and security.

Seconded - I’ve a terrible habit of swinging back and forth between different platforms with a real inability to commit, but micro.blog is where I see myself for the long run.

A public thank you to [@manton](https://micro.blog/manton) for creating micro.blog. This service allows me to easily activate my creativity whether it be written word, photography, video or audio. All wrapped up around a social fabric. I love it.

I just pre-ordered the Audible audiobook of Neil Gaiman’s Sandman, really looking forward to diving in to this.

Really hoping that iOS 14 brings actual support for external displays. I’d absolutely love to move to my iPad Pro fulltime and this is now about the only thing stopping me.

I’ve spent a little while playing around to finally try and make a decision on my preferred blogging platform and think I’ve ultimately decided on a mix of WordPress and micro.blog.

I think anyone who’s been identified as a key worker and is having to balance working increased hours, additional stress, high risk and is still taking their kids to school during this time - just so the country can continue to function - is clearly valuable to the economy and should be paid accordingly. They should be the ones living like royalty and should not have to worry about making it through a month. Those roles should be at a minimum of £50,000 p/a, certainly not minimum wage.

Finally got to watching the first episode of The Mandalorian. Oh man, it is absolutely excellent. The body language and physical acting is superb and I’ve discovered Space Westerns are easily one of my favourite genres.

Soon we’ll be enabling external access to our Confluence and JIRA instances meaning I’ll be able to start trialling working from my iPad full time.
